Midterm Format

Postby Sunia Akaveka 4I » Sun Nov 03, 2019 2:04 am

Is the midterm going to be all free-response problems using calculations or will there be other types like multiple choice, true/false, etc.?

I had thought that it was going to be a scantron with multiple choice but I don't remember Dr. Lavelle explicitly commenting the format. I assume it will be, like you said, many free answer questions but I don't necessarily believe it is going to have True/False or matching or anything like that. Also, like many midterms, many people don't use up the whole time so perhaps it will be formatted accordingly.

From seeing what Test 1 looked like, I'm pretty sure that the midterm will also be somewhat the same format so I'm assuming all free response.

I am pretty sure that the midterm will definitely be all free-response and no multiple-choice questions, the first test we took on fundamentals was all free-response. If there are any true or false im sure it will be tied into another question as there will only be 8 questions for the time period of 2 hours.

In lecture on Monday he said he doesn't use multiple choice problems because there is no partial credit so I believe it will all be free response.
