On the midterm, will we need to find the electron configurations of elements past the f-blocks?

Professor Lavelle said in lecture previously that we would not be focusing on elements including the f-block. However, we did do that example in lecture today with an element that included the f-block. For studying, I would focus on elements including the d-block, but know how to do an electron configuration for an element including the f-block as well, in case it shows up on the midterm.

It might not be on the midterm, but I would at least know how to write the configuration for an atom with 4f electrons (first row with f-block).

I remember Lavelle saying that we only need to know the s-block, p-block, and the first row of the d-block (3d).

Lavelle said to focus on the s-block, p-block, and first row of d-block for this class!

Professor Lavelle told us to primarily look at the s-block, p-block, and first row of d-block for this class, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
