I think the TAs said you would be able to see it at the end of the quarter.

but there's no way of viewing how many i have or haven't done correct? Would it even be such a big impact on my grade ?

I think you can check how many posts you've done under quick links and then "your posts." I believe each week is five points.

On Chemistry Community, every time you post something, you should see a number on the side of your name for your post. This number tells you how many posts you have made.

In terms of the grading, I don't know if we are getting graded on a week to week basis, or at the end of the quarter. Some people say that if we have 50 by the end of the quarter we get all the points, but others say that we need to do 5 a week or else we do not get the points. If anyone knows the answer, this would be so helpful.

I don't think we can view the online discussion points as the weeks go by until the end, when they put it out of 50 points, but I do think you should talk to your TA about it if you want to know, because they might be keeping track.

thank you, that's what I've been wondering, especially for this week (week 9)

I feel like it wouldn't be very efficient of TAs to check the points weekly, but I don't know for sure. Best to try posting weekly just to make sure. Although I have messed up a few times to be honest.

I have heard that the discussion posts have been graded both ways in the past. Some years they grade on a week to week basis and other years they simply check your total number of posts at the very end. It is good to try and stay up to date, but if you fall behind, talking with your TA is never a bad idea.

My TA said that we should try to make the 5 posts per week, but was very vague on the way that they were being graded. If you have 50 points by the end of the quarter, you should be okay!

As far as I know you should be doing 5 a week to accumulate 50 post by the end of the quarter completing your online discussion 50 points. Many people say the TA’s add them up at the end of the quarter, or they may just check the dates they were posted.
