I dont think Lavelle ever offers extra credit, but I would just talk to your ta about it, or just do five chemistry community submissions late

And does anyone know what day the posts reset for points? Would it be every sunday or every Monday?

from what I understand, you can't make up any chemistry community credits. I talked to my TA because I didn't have service the first two weekends of class so I wasn't able to submit any responses and she said there was no way to make up those missed points. she suggested I just do good on future exams and hope that counterbalances the missing points. the submissions are due every sunday at midnight, so they "reset" then. I hope this helps.

the chemistry community points are tallied by a computer, not your TA, they just put it in the grade book
so u can talk to your TA about doing other homework questions or something but probably not more CC questions
but also 5 points is only 1% of your final grade so don't worry!!!!
and I think it resets every Sunday.........

There is no extra credit. Even though you missed 5, still do them. Because it sometimes just counts if you have 50 at the end of the quarter and you might still get full points.

Hi there,

Unfortunately, there is no extra offered in this course. Dr. Lavelle has stated that he will adjust grades after all points are entered (meaning after the final) if necessary, although there is not a "curve" either. This class is pretty much on a straight scale, so 5 points from one week is only 1% of your grade. I'm not totally sure how points are collected, but I hear if you make many more posts after the deadline they may be factored into your final grade. I'm not entirely sure about this, but it might be worth a shot :) I hope this helps!
