Calculator?
It seems that we are unable to use calculators that can use text. This would lead me to believe that I could not use my handy dandy TI-84 calculator. Anybody have any ideas on some chemistry approved calculators?

Re: Calculator?
If I remember correctly, according to my TA and other folks, TI 84's can be used during exams.

Nice! Thanks for the quick response. I will update this thread later if I get confirmation from my own TA.

I have a TI-nspire cx.. it hadn't occurred to me we might not be able to use certain calculators! Have you heard anything about this calculator or just the rules if there are any for calculators during exams?

I have a TI-nspire cx as well! Not sure either if the TI-84 is approved or not, but the TI-nspire cx should definitely be allowed if the TI-84 is. I know other models of the TI-nspire are not allowed on exams due to internet connectivity features, but the cx model does not have these capabilities and is allowed on tests like the SAT and ACT! I haven't heard much on calculator restrictions yet, but this distinction is especially important between nspire models!

Re: Calculator?
I specifically asked my TA during my section and he said that TI 84 is the standard so it is fine.

Thanks for bringing up this question! I also have a Ti 84, so I'm glad we can use them :)

Re: Calculator?
Thank you for bring up this question! Haven't touched my Ti-84 after graduating from high school so I bet I need to review it ASAP.
