Questions on midterm
How many questions should we anticipate being on the midterm? I've heard people say different things and just wanted some clarification on what to expect. Does anyone know?

Re: Questions on midterm
No i don't think Professor Lavelle has told anyone yet, I think he was still figuring that out. I've been told about 15-20 is the average. Sorry if that wasn't extremely helpful, I'm curious myself.

Re: Questions on midterm
Since the midterm is only 50 minutes long, which is not much time, there shouldn't be too many super hard calculation problems. What I heard from one of the UA meetings was that he plans to throw in a bunch of smaller easier questions with either simpler calculations a/o conceptual questions to act as a buffer, and then there will be a couple hard questions that are worth 10 points each, and some other medium difficulty questions.

I've heard different things from different people. I've heard anywhere from 10-30 questions which is not helpful, but we're all in the same situation :)

Re: Questions on midterm
Does anyone know if the Equations/Constants Sheet has been updated yet? I am going to print it for the midterm but I heard that Professor Lavelle was fixing or adding a few things to the worksheet. Thanks!

Re: Questions on midterm
I'm pretty sure my TA said between 20-30 question, and they will be multiple choice.

Re: Questions on midterm
My TA said that there would be 10 multiple choice questions that are varying difficulty. He said to expect at least one difficult problem that has multiple calculations. But people above said different things so now I'm not quite sure but that is what my TA said.

Re: Questions on midterm
They also said that it would be reasonable enough to answer within the 50 minute discussion section we have. I was also told that they would also mirror a lot of the questions from the textbook and the homework.
