Midterm 2

Postby Mrudula Akkinepally » Sat Nov 14, 2020 10:54 pm

Will midterm 2 be formatted just like midterm 1? In the sense that it will be multiple choice, we will be given partial credit for certain answers, and there will be around 12 questions? Also, will we also take it like Midterm 1 where we signed into zoom on our phones and took the midterm through respondus on our laptops?

My TA said it will be formatted the same way in terms of zoom and Respondus running at the same time. I know that the questions will be more conceptual rather than asking us to calculations like in midterm 1.

My TA told me that yes we will be using respondus on our laptops to take the test while logging into the zoom on a separate device. As for the questions, my TA said the amount will be different since there aren't really any calculations to do. She also said there won't be as much/any partial credit because of the lack of calculations but again, I'm not entirely sure.

My TA said it was the same formatting as the first midterm. We will be proctored again and the midterm will be multiple choice questions.

The format will be the same and we will be proctored through respondus. My TA told us to join zoom through a separate device and I think there will be more questions this time since there aren't many calculations involved and its mostly conceptual.

I believe the formatting will be the same! Dr. Lavelle's email said that the questions are generally shorter and are worth fewer points, so I don't think that the number of questions will necessarily be the same.

I still don't understand how they did partial credit on the multiple choice midterm.
