Midterm 2
Because there are more questions on this midterm will we have more than the 50 minutes that we had last time?

Re: Midterm 2
Although it is more questions, the questions are much shorter and less time-intensive therefore we won't need more time.

Re: Midterm 2
Dr. Lavelle's last email said that we would have 56 min, but he also mentioned that we would have 5-10 min to set-up and then the time would start at the TA's discretion.

Re: Midterm 2
I was wondering the same thing. I believe it's the same amount of time since the questions are shorter but I may be wrong.

It's the same amount of time, the 6 minutes is just the extra if there are issues setting up.

Re: Midterm 2
I think since there are less calculations needed for this midterm's content, the questions are shorter so there are a few more. We still have 56 minutes to complete it.

Re: Midterm 2
so if it is up to TA's ds will it kick us out after 56? or are we just responsible for submitting when the TA says the time is up?

Your TA will tell you when to start after making sure your desk is clear. After you are done, I am pretty sure you can just leave the zoom.

We will have the same amount of time. I don't think the TA will kick you out if you tell them that it took you a few minutes extra to get set up since you will still have whatever time left that is indicated on your screen.

Re: Midterm 2
We’ll have the same amount of time for the exam, but I’m sure it’ll be enough to finish, since the questions will likely be shorter / less time consuming.

Re: Midterm 2
Personally, I'm kind of afraid even though last midterm was easy.
People have said before that chem can get harder, and since midterm 1 wasn't that bad, maybe this midterm will be much harder!
Just be prepared and study hard!

Re: Midterm 2
The time we have will be the same, but since these questions should be less time consuming than the ones on Midterm 1, it should work out fine.

It's the same amount of time but less calculations, so most likely less time consuming.

Re: Midterm 2
Based on Sapling the questions will be based more on structure of molecules and less pure number crunching, so here's hoping the increase in problems won't hurt too bad.
