Re: Final
On finals week, I believe we don't have class or discussion (I'm not completely sure). But our final is on Sunday, December 13 from 11:30am-2:30pm (this is on myUCLA, you can find the times for the finals for all your classes there). I'm sure in the next couple of weeks Dr. Lavelle will explain how we will be taking the final, but it's not during our discussion times.
Hope that helps!

Re: Final
I would think that we are going to use respondus and while the final won't be in our discussion sections, we're probably still going to be monitored somehow.

Does anyone know exactly where you can find the time for finals?

Re: Final
I believe the Final will have its own time and it will not be taking place during discussions. Although, the setup for the final might be similar as those for the midterm which is respondus and zoom.

Re: Final
I'm pretty sure it's on December 13th from 11:30 to 1pm? At least that's what it says on the test and exam schedule on the chem 14a website.

Re: Final
Since there is so much more time, do you guys think he will make the test harder but keep the same amount of questions or make the test the same but add a lot more questions?

Re: Final
Based on the website the test will be on December 13th from 11:30 to 1pm - that is a Sunday. I am guessing that it will be a similar setting like our midterms.

I think the test will have more questions. Since he gives up ~5 minutes per question and the final is 90 minutes then maybe there will be 18 questions. As for hardness I would guess it would be the same difficulty. These are all assumptions though so take it with a grain of salt.
