Missed Chem Community Points

I didn't do last weeks chemistry community posts, does anyone know how many points I will be losing and if there is any way to make them up? Thank you

If you didn't do last weeks chemistry community posts, then essentially you would be missing out on five points, since technically its five points per week for the five posts you make. Some TA's have been pretty lenient in which they let you make it up by posting more the next week, but then again, some do stick to the rule. If anything, just make sure not to miss out on anymore points. You can always talk to your TA about the situation and see what they say.

As the person above said, it depends on your TA if they strictly follow the 5 posts a week rule to see how many points you'll lose. You could either reach out to your TA and ask them or just make up those posts and see when grades update if you get the points. If they do follow the rule then however many posts you missed last week is the amount of points you'll lose.

You should be losing 5 pts, however, I would do 10 this week just in case overall is counter instead of per week. I think this is the case bc I posted 50 chem posts by week 5 and had all my pts by MT2.

Lavelle sent out an email that if you make really helpful posts (I think maybe not social posts) then you can make up these points you lost for last week. He extended the deadline to Tuesday morning 9 AM! So get some good posts in.

You can still make up for it before 9:00 am Tuesday. As long as you have over 50 posts total for this class you will be fine. Also you can check how many points have been rewarded through your ccle at the grade category.

Professor Lavelle sent out an email and said that we can make up any chem community posts we missed! You just need to answer questions or make posts equivalent to the amount of points you missed (each post = 1 point).

Do all the TAs assess chem.com posts the same way? Or do some of them not allow makeup posts? I think Lavelle said he was allowing makeup posts so I would hope all the TAs would consider them.

Dr. Lavelle sent out an email this afternoon stating that not only Chemistry Community but also Sapling points can be made up as long as they are completed by tomorrow (Tuesday) morning, I believe at 9am PST. My understanding is that this means as long as you have made 50 posts and fully completed all of the Sapling problems by that time, you should get full credit for both categories, which is very generous in my opinion, and very appreciated as I tend to struggle with time management.
