Online Lectures

Postby Chelsea Culi 3F » Fri Sep 24, 2021 3:05 pm

Will online lectures for the remainder of the quarter be in the same format as it was today with a recorded lecture that we watch on our own time? Or are we also going to have live Zoom classes during the lecture times?

I believe for the 3pm lecture it is online recorded, however for me it was hard to hear and see the information I'm not sure if that was just my computer?

The audio was super distorted for me as well. Hard to hear and understand. Hopefully the audio gets figured out.

The audio was also messed up for me but in the email he said he will try to fix it for upcoming classes!

The way Dr. Lavelle's email was worded leads me to believe that the lectures will be asynchronous, but he's really the one to ask about this.

Did he mention in any of his emails whether or not he would be posting his slides/ lecture materials?

I feel like he would post the slides/presentation online but if not his recent email said that the vid lectures would be more clear to see so you can probably pause the video to write down what's on the slides.

The audio was very hard to understand and it was hard to read the board at times. I believe the professor will try to fix it over the weekend. I got an email about it yesterday.

I was in contact with a TA who informed me that Lecture 3 will be a pre-recorded lecture, not live through Zoom.

I believe for online lecture, students will be able to view them at the comfort of their own time since they will be uploaded a little before lecture time.
