Closed Captions for Recorded Lectures?

Postby Desiree Eshraghi 3A » Sat Sep 25, 2021 8:49 pm

Is it possible for recorded lectures to be closed captioned?

I personally found automated captions from zoom classes (that are not 100% accurate) to be quite helpful as I was able to hear/read the lecturer's speech two ways at once alongside whatever visuals accompanied their presentation. I completely understand this may not be possible but thought I might ask just in case. Apologies if I missed the subtitle button for the last recording if the option is already there!

I will ask Bruincast if they can do this.

Reply from Bruincast:

"This is something we're hoping/planning to deploy during this school year, possibly as soon as during this quarter but more likely Winter or Spring quarter."
