Chemistry Community post due dates

Postby Angela Harrington 2L » Mon Sep 27, 2021 10:46 pm

So I know we have to have done at least 5 posts/replies etc. per week to get full points for chemistry community. What day are those 5 posts due each week? Is is Friday at 11:59pm or Sunday at 11:59pm (like Homework 1)?

All assignments due dates are end of the week, Sunday at 11:59pm.

So I know in his email Mr. Lavelle stated that "Chemistry Community is not integrated with CCLE, points will show on CCLE at the end of the quarter," but how do they know if you have posted something/ or that you have received credit for each post before their due date?

I think the TAs have the ability to check how many posts each person makes, and they will check at the end of the week whether students are keeping up with the 5 posts per week count.

Are we ever going to have to turn in our work with the Achieve homework assignments?

Hi, so what are the guidelines for the posts/replies every week? Like can they just be any response or post or is there a certain type or amount of content?

Are we penalized for not posting 5 comments? I recently joined the class and would like to make sure I am doing the correct thing.

I believe that they can be any response or post as long as they are academic in content and not part of the social forums that are also on the site. As for amount of content, I am not fully sure but I have not seen nor heard about any max or minimum amount such as a word count as long as your response (if it is a reply) sufficiently answers the question being asked.

I believe that Dr. Lavelle mentioned in class that the 5 comments on Chemistry Community will be due at Sunday 11:59pm every week.

Hi, sorry, I'm a bit concerned about not doing the right thing - under what titles in Chemistry Community will posting not count for points..?

I believe (saw a comment by one of the TAs) that if we ask a question that has already been asked it won't count for points. Also, if we copy and paste questions from homework/textbook and post them without explaining our thought process a little bit, that as well won't count for points.

So would it be just 5 questions/responses every week due Sunday at 11:59?
