Textbook Inquiry

Is it possible to download the ebook? Or sections of it? I'm going on a trip next week and was planning to study for the midterm on the plane, and ideally I would like to have the textbook to read as well. I haven't found a way to download sections of the ebook at all, so I was curious if anyone has successfully done this or has any ideas.

Yes. Absolutely.

I highly recommend downloading the Bookshelf app and eBook as it is faster and easier to access. I organized that students can download the eBook to 3 devices and use it for 4 years!

I keep encouraging students to download the eBook.

Definitely, go to the UCLA Bruin Learn Chemistry 14A website.

If you go to achieve and look for additional resources and scroll all the way down you can find the better answer key (it’s titled Atkins). It’s a little difficult to find but way better than the textbook answers!

A trick that sometimes works is to type the name of the textbook in your browser and add a .pdf at the end. For most books that are indexed with google, a pdf version of the book should pop up.

Im pretty sure you can download it off the bruinlearn course website. However, you should have gotten an email asking whether you would like to opt out of the inclusive access resource. As long as you have not opted out (by clicking the link in the email) you should be able to download the book fairly easily.

Yes you can download the textbook online - an easy way to do it is to go to the achieve website and click on resources, it gives you a link to the textbook from there.

Hey guys! I opted out of inclusive access a couple of days ago and I was still able to use achieve even after opting out last week. With that said, I am afraid that starting this week, I might not able to access my achieve account to do homework. Does anyone know if I can still access achieve to do homework next week even if I already opted out? A friend told me that once you opt out, you can't access achieve but a different friend of mine said that last quarter she was still able to access it. Please advice. Thank you!

Hey! Last quarter I did the same thing where I opted out, but was still able to access all the achieve material. However, I am not sure if that is going to happen again because I did end up buying it outside of Inclusive Access.

I think downloading and opting out of the book material in your myucla is the best way to go. It's free and you can read it offline.

I also wanted to know if it was possible to purchae an e-book. This is primarily because it is more feasible and I wont have trouble accessing it when duo mobile is glitching.
