In Person vs. Online

Postby Gabi_Maldonado_1B » Sat Feb 26, 2022 9:35 pm

Hi! I'm trying to decide whether I should switch to in person lectures for this class. Does anybody have any particular preference or thoughts on whether one environment is more conducive to learning? I know the in person discussion section has really helped me but I'm not sure whether in person lecture will be a drastic improvement.

I usually do both. I'm usually an early person so if I am on campus early then I would go to the lecture, but if there are days where you are not comfortable going or prefer to be in your room then you can use the online route. It is also important to know the best way you can receive the information.

It really depends with preference. Last quarter I just learned better going in person but because of my busy schedule this quarter I like doing it online on my own time. That being said, if you fall behind easily or procrastinate I would highly recommend going in person over online.

I've tried both, and I don't think there's a huge difference in how well I take in the info in person versus online. Usually I decide based on how busy I am on a certain day / if I had time to eat lunch already.

It honestly depends on the time and also how you're managing recorded/online lectures right now. For me, if it's a morning class I definitely prefer online but if it's during the day in-person classes are awesome! And etc for discussions.

Online has worked just fine for me! I've gone in person once, but only since I had an early morning class nearby. I'd suggest to do whichever works best with your schedule and preferences!

I would try both and see which one works best for you - I personally like having the online option because I can watch the lectures at my own speed, but some people focus better in person! It's really up to you :)

honestly I prefer online because I like being able to pause the lectures/ rewind if I need to so I feel like it helps me learn better, but it really is a personal preference so you should try both

Hi,
Honestly I usually just switch between the two depending on how I feel, or how productive I plan on being. As someone else has mentioned, if I'm already down on campuses for something then I'll usually attend in person, but if my mood calls for a more lazy day, then I'll usually stay in.

Personally, I've found online lectures to be more helpful for me. I'm able to go at my own pace and pause the video whenever I need to understand something before moving on.
