Midterm study habits

Postby Megan McKenna Dis1A » Sun Feb 13, 2022 11:21 pm

Hey all! I was just wondering what people felt like helped them the most to prepare for this past exam? I consistently feel like I study/ practice the wrong material/ problems.

For this past midterm I was able to get most prepared by taking notes on the lectures each day and trying to redo the textbook problems the week prior to the midterm. I also found study groups and partners very helpful.

Also, for concepts, the outline he gives is very useful.

for me, study groups never work but i really love the UA workshops every week as well as the textbook. Two weeks before the midterm I like to review all the outline info by going through the textbook and doing all assigned problems. I also review all the UA worksheets i completed from each week so i can get a sense of the types of problems on the midterms/final

Study groups, outline problems, and overall watching the lectures and taking notes as well as the UA worksheets have been a big help and overall I used those and did semi-decent

for both midterms, I focused on the outline problems and for any questions I was really stuck on, I would rewatch the lecture or online videos to help me understand it. I personally would say that these methods certainly helped my score

I also find the UA worksheets extremely helpful! It allows me to feel less overwhelmed by the textbook problems, but also allows me to see the problem worked out which I find very helpful when trying to study.
