Memorizing Equations for the Final

Postby Nancy Duenas Dis 1D » Fri Feb 23, 2024 10:20 am

Hi! I know we are given the equation worksheet for the final, but most of the equations we need are derived from them, so they are a bit different. Does anyone have any tips on how they memorized the equations and know when to use these certain equations? Any study tips etc! Thank you!

Honestly, I think that gaining a conceptual understanding of each of the "main" equations is the best way to remember all of the equations derived from them. A lot of the side equations are simply algebraic manipulations of the equations on the sheet, but for some of the equations we just worked with for the midterm you had to know when to substitute in from other equations (like when dealing with ideal gases we usually have to sub in from PV =nRT). If the concepts simply don't stick then you can always just make flash cards with each equation and when to apply it.
