Last Friday's Lecture

Postby Bill Phawn 2C » Mon Jan 15, 2018 6:44 pm

Unfortunately I was not able to make last Friday's lecture due to being sick. Could someone tell me the topics covered? Thanks!

In Friday's lecture, we discussed standard reaction enthalpies, which occur when the reactants and products are in standard states and the pressure is 1atm. We also talked about standard reaction enthalpy for formation, which we can subtract that standard reaction enthalpies of formation of the reactants from the products to find the standard reaction enthalpy overall. We also discussed heat transfer in terms of heat capacity, specific heat capacity, and molar heat capacity.
