Test

Postby Claudeth Martinez 1D » Sun Feb 17, 2019 10:33 pm

Does anyone know what the next test is going to be on?

Dr. Lavelle's website says "Test 2 covers all topics on Gibbs free energy and electrochemistry up to the Nernst equation"

Test 2 includes materials after the midterm, and like everyone said, Dr. Lavelle said that - Test 2 covers all topics on Gibbs free energy and electrochemistry up to the Nernst equation.

My TA said majority of it will be thermodynamics

Straight from Lavelle's website! "Test 2 covers all topics on Gibbs free energy and electrochemistry up to but not including the Nernst equation (which is all the new material covered in class Weeks 6 and 7). Test 2 starts Tuesday of Week 8."

My TA specified Test 2 will most likely circulate thermodynamics. However, I am sure Gibbs free energy will be a part of it too since we are currently learning about it.

Is it thermodynamics after the midterm or inclusive of all thermo?

Will Test #2 cover the thermodynamics that we learned prior to the midterm or just what we learn between the midterm and the test?

Will the second in class test be cumulative up to Gibbs free energy and electrochemistry?

I don't think the test will be cumulative because it will mainly focus on Gibb's Free Energy and electrochem, but Lavelle told me you need to know thermodynamics prior to this for the test.

The test isn't cumulative its everything from week 6 and 7 topics

I have a feeling it is going to be extremely thermodynamics heavy. Like solve for deltaH and deltaS and then find gibbs free energy type of questions..

Anything after thermodynamics. Except Gibbs free. It should mainly focus on that and electrochem.
