So I understand the different shapes of molecules and their names, but I wasn't sure if the exact layout of the molecule matters. Like using a dotted line for distance and solid for facing toward us, can we change the angle at which we are viewing/drawing the model? Or are their certain molecules that will always have certain atoms facing a certain direction? Sorry if this doesn't make sense it is a little complicated to explain, I guess I am just asking if there is variation within each molecule shape or if each shape has an exact model that cant rotate or be drawn from a different angle (keeping the atom positions relative to one another the same)?
