Re: Comfort Movies
I really love Studio Ghibli films because I grew up with them. Sometimes I'll revisit some when I feel like I want something nostalgic and comforting to watch. I also do this with some Disney movies.

Re: Comfort Movies
The show New Girl always help me relax, the episodes are shorter too so if you don't have a lot of time its a good option during the quarter

Re: Comfort Movies
Some of my most favorite movies to watch whenever I'm down are Shrek and Shrek 2(never disappoint), anything with Will Ferrel in them (Talladega Nights, Anchorman, Megamind), and obviously some star wars or marvel movie that I haven't rewatched in a while.

My comfort movie is The Florida Project, it's kind of like yours with the Hunger Games where it gets serious by the end and it's a pretty sad ending:( but it's such a great movie because you feel like you're actually living through the perspective of the characters and for the most part it's pretty lighthearted. I've watched it like a million times would definitely recommend!!

I LOVE New Girl!! I've watched the entire thing like three times and it never gets boring:) Also my favorite part/character of the entire show is Winston after the beginning of S3, he always makes me laugh in every episode

Re: Comfort Movies
Not a movie, but One Day at a Time is my comfort show! It's a pretty funny show that also talks about some social and political issues from a point of view of a Cuban family, and overall, the vibe of the show is so comforting! I recommend watching it when you need a good laugh or even a good cry because some episodes are emotional haha!

Omg I love Princess Diaries as well! I'd say that I'd watch any Disney movie for comfort, or anything that reminds me of my childhood.

Re: Comfort Movies
I just found this thread and a movie I watch that will 100% put me in a good mood is Singin' in the Rain. If you're not a fan of musicals, then I would suggest against it, but there's something so giddy and heartwarming about seeing people dance and sing. It's a classic

Any Ghibli movie is a comfort movie for me, but especially Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, and Kiki's Delivery Service. I also love the movie "Almost Famous" and it's definitely a comfort movie for me, especially since I always watch it with friends.

Howl's moving castle! Its very calming, especially because the voice actors have such smooth voices. Very much a movie that I can pay attention to if I want to, or just have playing in the background while I work. :) Also PONYO!!

My comfort movies are usually studio ghibli movies like Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. They are really cute and I can watch the original as background noise since I don't understand the language so it it won't really distract me. Hope this helps!!

Anything musical-ly really helps. It's something about the catchy music that gets me every time! Movies such as La La Land and Mama Mia keep me going.

So I have two comfort movie(s). The whole Harry Potter series and Lilo and Stitch will forever be my comfort movies.
Re: Comfort Movies
The Harry Potter series is a staple in my family, so I watch those when I'm feeling homesick. I also LOVE Greta Gerwig's Little Women, the story is a special one to me and I probably have seen it way too many times.

Really random but my go to comfort movie is Divergent. It gives me this feeling of nostalgia no other entertainment can, except for Coldplay music.
Re: Comfort Movies
Ratatouille. Hands down one of my favorite movies of all time, I've loved it since a kid so it holds really fond memories in my heart. I watch the movie every time I get unsure about the future or just need a day of rest.

Another good movie to watch is A Silent Place! it has a lot of jumpscares so that may be a deal-breaker for some, but it is still a very good and emotional movie to watch.
Re: Comfort Movies
Hi! Late to this thread hahaha, but I love watching 21 Jump Street with my friends whenever I'm down, or when that second midterm destroyed me.
Re: Comfort Movies
This is not a movie but "Our Beloved Summer" is my comfort show!! Highly recommend :) It's on Netflix.

I don't really have a particular comfort movie (maybe Parasite?), but my roommate's comfort movie has to be The Menu. He watched that movie about 5 times over the course of 2 weeks, honestly incredible on his part.

My favorite movie is "A Quiet Place", but that's not exactly a comfort movie. I'd probably say my favorite comfort movie is "Pitch Perfect".
