I'd say I listen to a lot of R&B (SZA, Miguel, The Weeknd, Giveon, etc.), but if anyone is looking for study music with midterms coming around, I definitely recommend lofi hip hop beats!

I really love R&B, alternative R&B and I'm also getting into K R&B so if anyone has recommendations pass them over lol. Some of the artists I love are SZA, Kehlani, Brockhampton, Tyler, DEAN, GOT7, Joji, and the list of course goes on. I'm excited to see other people's music tastes thanks for asking this!

Ok don't @me for having the music taste of a dad but I love listening to music from the 60s/70s/80s. Queen, Elton John, The rolling stones, and David Bowie never disappoint. Prince really puts you in a good mood, and lately, I've been listening to Billy Joel on repeat.

Anything you would hear on a road trip playlist is good for a kick of nostalgia :)

My music taste is quite basic right now, but currently I'm really into the evermore album, fake by Conan & Lauv, LANY is also very good, and basically any Lauv song, if your looking for any ~chill pop~

I mostly listen to R&B (SZA, UMI, Chloe X Halle, Frank Ocean) but like to listen to a bunch of different things when I'm studying depending on my mood. I find that lo-fi hip hop, classical, and even film scores help me be productive when I work.

I have really weird taste as I listen to a wide range of genres, like R&B, indie pop, alt rock, pop, etc. Some of my current favorite artists are Jakob Ogawa, Arctic Monkeys, Tame Impala, and Chase Atlantic. It really depends on my mood and what I am doing that I listen to certain artists.

I'm about to try some of these out lol. Currently I listen to a few songs from AJR, the Oh Hellos, and Beach Bunny. If I'm working and listening to music though I tend to choose game soundtracks, the one I'm using rn is from the Shadow of the Colossus Remake.

Kinda random too but the soundtrack for into the spiderverse is one of my favorite albums so I definitely recommend checking it out

Jazz is really nice for studying, especially the Bossa Nova songs by Joao Gilberto because they have a nice beat and are "not boring". Still Woozy, Sissyfuss, and Stella Brown by Jelani Aryeh are really mellow and non-distracting indie music, totally recommend.

FINALLY... someone who shares my affinity for Hozier. He's great. And I also love the threads about him being immortal ;~;

I have found Peach Pit [the band, they also have a song titled "Peach Pit"] to be very pleasant to study chem to [the pleasant counters the unpleasant... neutralization if you will]

I've been listening to a lot of mellow piano solos when I study and those are pretty relaxing and they don't distract me. I also found a playlist that has a bunch of violin versions of pop songs and those are super fun to listen to while studying too.

I don't really listen to music while studying because noise distracts me, but I always make sure to listen to music throughout the day outside of school. I listen to R&B (ex: Brent Faiyaz, The Weeknd) or usually rap (ex: Young Thug, Travis Scott).

Currently, the artist that I listen to at least once a day is Kali Uchis. Her album that came out last year, Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios) ∞, is a staple in every one of my playlists. I would one-hundred percent recommend her to anyone searching for new music to listen to.

If anyone is into alternative music, I'd recommend listening to Rainbow Kitten Surprise! I know their name may sound like it came out of a kids show but give them a shot!

Indie rap and alternative R&B, R&B songs with electronic-esque beats really hit different!! Masego, Kali Uchis, Galimatias, Weston Estate, Savannah Ré, Riz La Vie, and of course Jhené Aiko :))
If you use Apple Music like me I highly recommend the Baseline playlist and Northern Vibes playlist (welcome to Toronto haha). I think you'll find the Baseline one on Spotify as well if I'm not mistaken

I really like Hyukoh too! Yerin Baek's new album tellusaboutyourself is entirely in English and has really chill vibes, so I recommend that.

Oh that's really cool I'll have to check that out asap thanks for the recommendation!

At least for studying I listen to slow jazz and piano instrumentals which help me focus most times.

Lately I've been pretty into Evermore by Taylor Swift & Sonic Youth in general. Usually when I study, I tend to go for something more mellow like SZA, Bon Iver, or Hozier (Evermore tends to pop if in my study sessions as well haha)

I listen to a lot of different artists: mostly what comes up on my Spotify discover. I love artists like Daniel ceaser, Labrinth, Denzel curry, pretty much anything in a lot of different genres. I found that being open is really important because the more genres you enjoy, the more you can connect with other people through music.

My current favorite song is Everyday by ASAP Rocky & Rob Stewart. I would say my current go to artists are Mac Miller, Peach Pit, Roy Blair, & Steve Lacy. For me the best way to discover new music is my Spotify discover weekly playlist and also Tiktok!

I'm currently STARVING for new music to listen to--artists like Frank Ocean, SZA, Rihanna, and Adele all delayed their albums in 2020, so I'm praying that I get some new music soon.
