Re: Midterm
The midterm is 50 minutes long, so there are a different number of questions for everyone depending on difficulty. I don't think the professor mentioned how many questions there will be though.

Re: Midterm
The midterm will be 50 minutes long, and I believe we will be given 5 additional minutes as a buffer in case there are any problems with the program or submission (at least that's how it was last quarter for 14A). The number of questions as well as the amount of points each question is worth change from midterm to midterm, but I believe Dr. Lavelle will send out an email with that information in the beginning of next week, as he stated in his email from yesterday: "I will communicate more details about midterm 1..."

Re: Midterm
The midterm should be 50 mins long and in terms of number of questions, its not determined yet. The first midterm in 14a was pretty short, in which a lot of us finished with like plenty of time to even double check and even had like ten mins left. But I believe it just ranges from test to test. Fingers crossed that its only a few questions.

Re: Midterm
I would believe that perhaps there are fewer questions than last quarter because of the amount points we are getting for each midterm this quarter. However, I am not sure.

Re: Midterm
I believe that we will be given 55 minutes to take the midterm, just like last quarter. I would guess that the number of questions would also be similar to last quarter, maybe somewhere between 12 and 18 problems. That is just a guess though!

Re: Midterm
Our first midterm last quarter was about 12 questions, I believe. I wouldn't be surprised if this first exam was about the same length. Hope this helps!

Re: Midterm
The midterm shouldn't be too long. I remember having a good amount of time to revise my answers for both midterm 1 and 2. However, I can't say the same for the final. You shouldn't expect more than 20 questions, I would guess around the 10-20 question range, but more towards the lower end of that if that makes sense.

Re: Midterm
Professor has not specified yet exactly how many, but I'm sure it would be around 10-15 questions, similar to 14A. I think he will send out another email with more information early this week.

Re: Midterm
Not sure how many questions and we probably won't know until the day of but Prof Lavelle is very generous with timing; I've never felt the need to rush on a midterm.

Re: Midterm
I don't think Lavelle has specified, but if it is similar to 14A, then there will probably be around 12-16 questions and we have 50 minutes + 5 extra to complete it.

Re: Midterm
50 minutes long, and there will be a certain amount of questions from each difficulty (easy, medium, hard) that are designed to take us 50 minutes.

Re: Midterm
The amount of questions is still unknown, but we can expect the exam to be around 50 minutes.
