For freshmen: What are you most looking forward to whenever we end up going back to campus?
For sophomores and other upperclassmen: What do you currently miss the most about campus?

I'm a sophomore and I really miss dancing in parking lots late at night, grinding while drinking hot chocolate in YRL, dragging my friends to eat at Covel's pasta bar with me, Rende Tacos, and using the entirety of my 19P on study bagels and iced coffee. I also really miss taking naps on Bruinwalk. If a lot of these have to do with food, it's because I'm writing this at 2 AM lol.

Mostly finding fun study places since that has always one of my favorite thing to do (especially going to little coffee shops and studying). Also, I am sooo excited to try like all the foods I've heard so many good things :))

I'm a sophomore and I just miss the whole vibe of the campus. I used to just sit outside in between classes and do work or just sit somewhere with lots of sunlight, which I never really do at home it just felt right there lol. I also miss just exploring westwood and can't wait to go back to see some more places with friends. I also miss the food! Covel's desserts were always amazing and I would always get B-cafe's smoothies otw to class.

I miss the campus so much! I truly miss walking to class strangely enough, I miss the hustle, going to the hill to eat after classes, going to relax on the grass next to BruinWalk :( this time is really sad but it makes you appreciate the small things you can take for granted.

I miss everything :(( I miss being able to go out late to go get late night. I also miss just being able to hang out with my friends and having dorm sleepovers and ordering a ton of food to watch movies and just chat or listen to music all night with them. I miss being able to just sit somewhere on campus and enjoy the sun and warmth and study peacefully around others. There's so much more and I'm still so sad about it and can't wait to go back.

I'm a sophomore, so I had a few months to experience campus before I had to leave. One of the things I miss the most is being in the LA timezone. I feel so disconnected from everything I can't even believe that my second year of college is almost over.

I miss the Study at 2 am, and walking to class and being around other students. I miss talking to people, making new friends its basically impossible during online class and in this environment. I miss feeling at home on campus, whether it was studying in a library or laying on the lawns.

I miss being able to work at libraries. I feel like I work better when I am surrounded by other productive people and in quiet environments. During the quarantine I have been working in my living room where it is kind of loud and I have a really hard time concentrating sometimes. Being able to work in a library would be super helpful. Even more than that, I really want to go to UCLA social events. Basketball games, football games, parties, club meetings etc. I miss making new friends and hanging out with new and old friends.

I really miss all the cool people that you get to meet just going about life on campus. It's always nice to get to know a stranger or two, and I miss just being able to start conversations with people around me in the coffee shops or dinning halls or classes because something about them caught my eye, since so much of the interactions on zoom are people just trying to log on for class and be done with it. You don't get to see all the behind the scenes stuff that really make getting to know someone or making friends interesting.

I had to go get my own bread, watching everyone else getting theirs. Also, studying at home just isn't the same. It doesn't give me as much satisfaction and the information I do manage to stick into my brain isn't as well-retained.

I love campus and LA. I can't wait to go back.

On the other hand, I will also miss being at home. I know we are in the middle of a pandemic, but this pandemic also allowed me to spend time with my family. It has not been this way in a while. I really appreciate that.

I think one thing I miss most about campus is how easy it was to hang out with your friends. You could always go study together at the library or grab some food at the dining hall whenever you wanted. I will definitely appreciate those opportunities a lot more when we do get the chance to go back.
