Great Resources for Studying Chemistry

Postby Jon Phan 1B » Sun Jan 16, 2022 11:14 pm

Does anyone know any other resources besides Khan Academy and the O-Chem tutor that explains chemistry concepts in a more in-depth level?

There are a lot of videos on youtube in which you can search specific topics that you are still confused about.

I think some great resources are peer learning sessions. You can even ask questions and talk with your peers.

The peer learning and step up/workshop sessions are good to do some practice problems and you can ask questions to get extra help on any topic.

The peer learning sessions or the step up sessions are good resources for asking questions about specific homework problems that you're having issues with, at least from my experience. I usually watch the organic chemistry teacher on youtube for me to have a general understanding of how to approach problems, which helps me to at least get started with homework problems.

Hi! I know the textbook can be daunting, but it's way to understand the concepts explained in class, especially because Dr. Lavelle posts the focus topics in the outlines/syllabus.

Even though it can be tedious, the best strategy that I've come to use in this class is to take notes on the textbook before the lecture, and do the syllabus practice problems after. If I still feel like I don't understand the content I'll watch random YouTube videos.
