Problem 1.7 HW

For problem 1.7b, it asks for the wavelength of the x-rays described using picometers (pm). I got the answer of 150 pm. However, in the back of the textbook, it says that the answer is 150 nm. Is this answer in the back a typo or am I doing something wrong?

I think it's a typo. I solved the problem as wavelength = (c/v) = ((2.998E8 m/s)/(2.0E18 Hz)) and also got 150 pm.

I solved the problem and got 150 pm as well, which is the answer given in the solutions manual.

Yeah, I was also confused on that, but the solutions manual does indeed say 150 pm, so you should be good.

I also solved the problem and got 150 pm, I think the back of the book is a typo as the solutions manual agrees with our answer.
