Quanta vs. Photon

Postby Elijah E 1C » Sun Apr 15, 2018 11:03 pm

So are Quanta measured by amount of photons, or are these completely unrelated and I'm confusing something?

I'm not sure, but I think the two are equivalent in this case. Since # of photons = intensity of light and quanta measure "how much", if you put quanta in terms of light the two are synonymous.

Quanta are discrete bundles in which radiation and other forms of energy occur and light is sent out in the different ‘amounts’ (quanta) that called photons.

A photon has the properties of wave like. And a photo Dosent.

Quantum can be described as a measure of quantity, but a photon is not about a measure of quantity.
