Converting eV to J

In chapter 1 question 69, we are given the work function in eV, how do I convert that to Joules.

Hello, I found 1 eV = 1.602176565e-19 J, so i believe you would multiply the amount of eVs they give to 1.602176565e-19 J

As stated above, 1 eV = 1.60218 * 10^-19 J; however, sometimes eV will have the same prefixes that the metric system uses, so it's important to take that into account. For example 1 keV = 1000 eV, and then u can convert that to joules if necessary.

Will we be expected to remember how many Joules are in an eV for Test 2, the midterm, and the final?

The conversion factor from eV to J is given on the cover sheet of the test
