In the Photoelectric Effect Module, the work function is given as kJ/mol. Can I use that or is that the wrong units?

It should be in joules per atom

Although kJ/mol is a valid unit for energy/material, or something like finding G. But for I’d use Joules.

I would say that more often than not the units used will be Joules instead of kj but be able to convert both ways just in case.

It would be preferred to stick to Joules since the entire equation focuses on generating the amount of energy needed to for the photoelectric effect.
