Hey everyone! I was wondering if someone would mind explaining to me why the answer is b? Thanks so much!
Which of the following statements with respect to the photoelectric effect is incorrect?
a. The kinetic energy of the ejected electrons does not increase with the intensity of the incident radiation.
b. A plot of the kinetic energy of the ejected electrons versus the frequency of the incident radiation has a slope that is equal to the value of the work function.
c. A plot of the kinetic energy of the ejected electrons versus the frequency of the incident radiation is linear.
d. All metals have a unique work function.

If you didn't know b was inherently incorrect you can use the process of elimination! For a, when you have higher intensity let's say a brighter light, it doesn't affect the frequency of the resulting kinetic energy. For C, it is saying that kinetic energy and frequency are proportional which they are. For D, all metals do in fact have their own specific work function,
