Workbook Quizzes

Postby Michelle Choi 1H » Sun Jan 24, 2016 1:38 pm

I'm still a little confused on how this works. So you can do workbook quizzes and turn them in before every quiz throughout the quarter and whichever one receives a higher score is the one that is counted? If so, does that apply to all quizzes or will this only count for one quiz only?

I have the same question! I wasn't in Lavelle's class last quarter so this is all super new. I heard though that they combined your graded workbook scores and then that combined score can replace your worst actual (in discussion) quiz score.

I believe you do each workbook quiz, and at the end the combined workbook quiz scores will replace your lowest in class discussion quiz you take.

Correct.

As I described it in the Quiz and Exam Schedule at: https://lavelle.chem.ucla.edu/wp-content/supporting-files/Chem14B/Chem14BQuizSchedule.pdf

And also at the beginning of the Workbook.
