You can change your username in Register Alias and Password.

Re-register as in your account wasn't created? Or do you mean your account doesn't exist and you have keep creating a new one?
I also have this problem. I have not been able to log back into my account after I am away from the computer or close the chemistry community tab. I followed the instructions to "register alias and password" but do not seem to be remembered by the system after I leave, so I have just re-registered each time I had to log in. I haven't yet tried re-registering since I have posted, so I am slightly concerned that my previous posts won't be connected to my account when I have to log back in later to check on my posts/make new posts.
Same here :(

On the top left corner, there is a quick links button with the section of "your posts." All of your posts/ replies will be shown.

Once logged in, next to your username in the top right corner of the screen, notifications will appear if there are any responses or discussions happening that involve your posts.
Re: How to find my posts
Thank you for asking this question! I have the same question with you and now I know how to find my own posts.
Re: How to find my posts
In my computer there are 3 lines on the left, when you click on them, it gives you an option that says "your posts" when you click on it, it takes you to all your posts. I hope it helps

This was really helpful. I tried going back to the thread I was on earlier and I couldn't find the post that I left so I was wondering if I forgot to submit it or something. I used your advice and I was able to find my post immediately lol.

Re: How to find my posts
In the left hand corner of your screen you will see three lines labeled quick links. Under that tab will list different options, one being “your posts” and when you click the your posts option you will find all the posts you have created and replied to in this class so far.
Hope this helps!

One way to doing it is clicking on the "Quick links" on the left most corner. Your posts should be the first link in the list!

You can either click "your posts" or look at the number under your username after making a post.

Chem_Mod wrote:There are several ways.
One is look in the topic section of your post.
Another is click on your user ID and then click on "Search user’s posts" and all your posts are listed.
Then click on your post of interest to see subsequent posts by others.
I also find it is super easy to see all your posts organized by going to the "user control panel" and clicking "overview". Then you can scroll to the bottom and it says how many posts you have in total.

All posts are linked to your UCLA ID# which never changes and therefore Chemistry Community knows/tracks all posts.
Go to a UA Drop in session for assistance on how to login.

Re: How to find my posts
You can find your posts by tapping the three lines on the left hand corner. From there, you can check the drop down and see the “Your Posts” option and from there see a collection of all the posts you have made.

Re: How to find my posts
click "Quick links" in the top left corner and a menu will drop down with "Your Posts" being the 1st option
Re: How to find my posts
I am unsure about the login errors you guys are having but usually I just click on the quick links tab at the top left and there is an option for my posts and that allows me to look at all the posts I have previously made. Hope this helps!

First, click on "quick links" in the upper left-hand corner. Then click on "my posts", which should be the first option in the drop-down menu. Hope this helps!

Hello Good afternoon Professor, how does one know if they received all their points for the Chemistry Community discussion. Let's say you missed some of the discussions but you make more discussion posts as time goes by. Are you able to accumulate the lost points?

Helloo,
To make a new post, you would click on the "quick links" tab and then "my post." There should be an option there to make a new post!
Hope this helps :)

I usually click on my profile name in the right corner (next to notifications) and then go to user control panel. You should be able to view all your posts under the "overview" tab! (There might be an easier way, but that's what I do :)).
Re: How to find my posts
Is there an easy way to see the number of posts we do as well? I keep having to count.

Yes, you can see it right beneath your username under any given comment of yours. It should read "Posts: __"

I was also able to find mine but looking at the latest post I posted and below my name, it says "posts: #" if your click on that number it takes you to all your posts and tells you how many posts you have.

How do you reply to a specific comment/earlier reply? I clicked the quotation marks but I didn't know if that would create a new post entirely or lead to a new response.

I think by clicking the quotation marks, it allows you to reply under the comment that you would like.

I think it creates a new post entirely under the post you are replying to.
Re: How to find my posts
After you reply to someone else's post, you should be able to see the numbers of posts you have made. However, I have a question regarding this topic, since we are required to at least post 3x in a week, I was just wondering how I will be graded if my username shows as my UID? Would it be better if I change my username to my name or should I leave it as my UID? Thank you!

The number of posts is shown near your name and you only need to post 3 times a week!

If you click on your User ID and scroll all the way to the bottom you will see the "total number of posts", you can then click on this to view your exact posts.

How do I reply to another persons post? Everytime I post, I've just been creating a new post versus responding to someone elses.
Re: How to find my posts
You can find your post under your user ID, on the top right hand corner of the page. This should let you view all your previous post as well.

Anything that Professor Lavelle posts is seen in the "announcements" section. He also sends out announcements via email.

Hi! On the upper left hand corner you can press on quick links then your posts and it will tell you how many posts you have, and you can click on the individual posts to see the amount of replies you have.

Re: How to find my posts
On the left side of the screen in the upper corner there is a spot called "Quick Links" in front of an icon that looks like 3 bars on top of each other. After clicking that, an option comes up to view your post.

Usually I click "Quick Links" (located in the upper left hand corner of the screen, just under the Chemistry Community header) and then "Your Posts". However, you can also just type your username into the search bar to find your posts.

I also think you find the number of posts if you click the corner at your UID and you go under profile you can see the break down of your total posts and how may per section.
Re: How to find my posts
Hello! This is somewhat related to the question above but I just wanted ask if anyone knows if our grade on canvas for the chemistry community can still be changed? I have been putting it off for two or three weeks so I am a bit behind and I am trying to catch up right now. Will my grade still be changed?

Does replying to a post meet the 2 comments quota for weekly points? I'm still a little confused on the specifics.

You need to reply to 2 posts and then post 2 questions of your own for full credit from what I understand.
