ΔH Denotations

Postby Xin Huang 3E » Sat Jan 14, 2017 6:00 pm

I have kept been confused by the different denotation of ΔH, ΔHf, ΔH(RXN), ΔH(NET), ΔHo - (o as superscript)
1. What does RXN stands for? reaction?
2. When we do homework problems or take midterm & final, is it incorrect to write just ΔH instead of those with different denotations?

1. RXN stands for 'reaction'.
2. It is important to mention the subscripts for delta H with different denotations.

Hope this helps!
