Bimolecular Nucleophile Substitution

Postby Patrick_Mac_3D » Tue Mar 14, 2017 5:26 pm

If asked a question like what type of reaction mechanism is this, can we simply answer Sn2 or do we have to write out the entire name? Thanks.

My TA said to either write out electrophilic addition or Sn2, it doesn't matter as long as you get it right!

I don't think it would matter that much, but I would write out the entire name just in case and put SN2 in parentheses.
