This is your UA, Lyndon Bui, with information on the much anticipated Pork Ramen Review Session! This review session will feature a second lovely UA, Hannah Chew! This packet covers mainly electrochem with kinetics at the end. As always, during the review session we will try to cover all concepts, not just ones in the packet. Definitely use course outlines to make sure you are ready!

Although, the problems will be posted late, please attempt these problems before my review session. My review session this quarter (W19) will be Saturday, Mar16, 3-6pm, in Dodd 147.
Any errors in the test will be posted below.

For number 9 part d do we have all the information we need to solve the problem? I'm assuming we will have to solve for the standard cell potential and find the difference between that and this new cell potential, I just don't know how to get there.

I thought E standard was always 0 for concentration cells. Why is this not the case in 1?

I think so since the sheet says "Full solutions will be given only during the review session." so maybe regular answers will be posted

I do not have an answer key made to be able to post anything. In addition, many of the questions involve drawing or explaining and I unfortunately do not have the time to make an adequate postable key. During my session, I will ask for some neat note-takers to post their notes here though.

For Q7, how come we don't the number of electrons for the half reactions given when adding them to get the overall reaction?

Why for number ten is it that having a negative standard reaction potential mean that it will be non-spontaneous and therefore the coin will not dissolve?

When calculating the E cell, lyndon did not use E= E cathode- E anode, would it still be ok to use this?

These questions were very helpful for my understanding of electrochem especially. Thankyou!

for 14g we labeled the difference between the energy of the reactants and that of the products as deltaG, but in Joyce's notes we labeled it deltaH; can someone explain why they both work or why not or whatever that's supposed to be labeled as??
