Midterm grading

Postby Elizabeth Bowen 1J » Mon Feb 10, 2020 11:48 pm

Does anyone know if the midterm is going to be graded by a different TA for each discussion section, or do they have uniform graders for each problem?

I think they have assigned problems that they each have to grade.

I think my TA from last quarter mentioned that each problem is graded by one TA, so the grading for each problem is uniform.

Most of the time they have one TA grade 1-2 problems for every test and rotate so the full test is graded by different people

Usually each TA is assigned a page/problem on the midterm so that the grading on that problem would be fair and consistent.

I think every TA is assigned one problem that they grade for every test.

It is uniform graders. Does anyone know if it'll take about a week like last time?

I also know that the 1 o-clock lecture and the 3 o-clock lecture are going to have combined grading because there is only one TA for the last lecture and it wouldn't be fair for her to have to grade all of them.

Yes they should be handing back the midterm at the end of lectures about a week from now!
