I took Lavelle last quarter for 14A and there was no extra credit opportunities, although there was a small curve applied to final grades (about 1%). Everything is strictly followed from the course outline on the syllabus, which is the homework, chem community, 2 tests, midterm, and final (the class being out of a total of 500 points).

That I know of Lavelle does not give any extra credit opportunities. Its mostly just all the points that you find out of the syllabus to reach the 500 points.

There are no extra credit opportunities. In 14A for Lavelle extra credit wasn't offered and it's not in the syllabus, so I assume there won't be any opportunities for extra credit.

I don't believe that any extra credit is offered as there seems to be a strict point system for the class.

You should be getting 100 points by doing the HW and weekly interaction/posting. This is a huge opportunity.
Also HW problems in exams are an additional opportunity.

Lavelle does not have any extra credit opportunities. However, the 100 points for doing the homework and chemistry community are an opportunity to get "easy" points to cushion your grade.

Lavelle also curves the total grade at the end, not for the tests itself and it is usually pretty generous. Also I dont think the range is percent out of 500 since 250 is a c minus I believe
