Sapling Grading

Postby Sofia Azmat 1I » Mon Jan 18, 2021 12:04 am

I used multiple attempts for some of the chemistry problems on sapling but completed everything and got 100%. Would I be marked down for using multiple attempts? Is it graded for accuracy or just completion?

Sampling does not grade based off tries. It is full points as long as you finish the whole assignment

It does grade on accuracy but you have an unlimited number of attempts to get the correct answer.

As long as you complete all the problems you'll get 100%! Just don't click "give up" because I believe you might not get credit for the problem.

As long as you complete all of the problems correctly, without clicking "give up" on any of the questions, it doesn't matter how many tries it takes. I once took over 20 attempts on a Sapling problem in 14A and, while it was embarrassing to look at, it didn't affect my points in the slightest. So just make sure you finish the assignment with the correct answers :)

I asked this question last quarter too because nobody specified this for me either. To add on to what other people are saying, you can also hit the "hint" button! Asking for hints doesn't affect your score either.

Multiple attempts are all good. I knew someone who used 40+ attempts on one question! Hints are fine too, just don't give up on any. They're graded only for completion.

you have an unlimited number of attempts on sampling, the only way you will get points marked down is if you click on the "give up" button which gives you that answer but you can no longer get points for that problem. If the specific problem has multiple parts and you get part of the answer right then you get partial credit on that problem. Hope this helps !
