Periodic Tables on Midterm

Postby Garmani Kyaw » Sat Jan 23, 2021 6:27 pm

Since the exam is not open book, can we still print out a periodic table have around us without breaking the rules?

Yeah, there should be a periodic table Dr. Lavelle has on his website that we're allowed to print out and use! We can also use the equation sheet that he has put up.

Yeah, last quarter we were allowed scratch paper and a print out of the periodic table. I just printed the one that Lavelle has on his website and that worked well.

Make sure you also have the new updated constant/equations sheet for 14B as well!

Although the test is not open note or open book, Dr. Lavelle has an equation sheet and periodic table on his website that we should have printed out for the midterms and final.

Yes, I believe you can have both a periodic table and a constants and equations sheet with you while taking the midterm as long as no extra information is written on them.

yes we are allowed to print periodic tables. I'm pretty it'll be the same rule as before in chem14a. You can also have a scratch paper

Yes, I think that we are allowed a periodic table and constants sheet and both are posted on the class website!

I'm not sure exactly why it's not open book, but it was the same way for 14A midterms (they weren't open book) and they were monitored via respondus and zoom. I know that we are allowed a periodic table, equations sheet, and a calculator though to help! You can access it via the 14B website.

Midterms for 14A were not open book, they were proctored using Respondus and over Zoom! If you go to Dr. Lavelle's 14B class website, there is a link to the constants and equations sheet and the periodic table, which we are allowed to have on all tests! Here's what it looks like:

There should be a section on Lavelle's website that gives both the equation sheet with equations and other info we are allowed to use on the test, and the periodic table we can use, so I suggest printing that out before Friday.
