Heat capacity is dependent of the system (what the mixture of the solution is) and shows how much energy is needed to raise the temperature of that solution by 1C* and it can be different from specific heat capacity. Specific heat capacity is independent of the system and shows how much energy is required to raise a certain element's or compound's (per unit mass) temperature by 1 C*.

Heat capacity is the heat required to raise the temp of an object by 1°C. Specific heat capacity is the heat capacity divided by the amount of a substance present.

Heat capacity is the heat required to raise the temperature of a substance by 1°C while the specific heat capacity is the heat required to raise the temperature of 1 gram of the substance by 1°C. Heat capacity is an extensive property since its value depends on the volume, while specific heat capacity is an intensive property.

Heat Capacity refers to the amount of heat that must be applied to change the temperature by a certain value. It is based on the quantity of the substance, and is an extensive property. The more "stuff" you have, the more heat is required to change the temp by a certain value. The same cannot be said for specific heat capacity, which is intensive - it's unique to every compound or molecule/substance. It is the heat required to change the temp of 1 gram of a substance by 1 degree celcuis. It's not as general heat capacity.

Specific heat capacity is how much energy it takes to change a temperature of a specific amount of a substance. Specific heat capacity is dividing heat capacity by the amount of substance present. It is an intensive property or "heat required to raise temperature of 1 gram of a substance. Heat capacity is more broad. Heat capacity is an extensive property in which the heat required depends on the amount of substance.

Heat capacity is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of an object by 1 degree Celsius, while the specific heat capacity is the amount of heat needed to raise the temperature of 1 gram of the substance by 1 degree Celsius.

In short, heat capacity = mass of the substance x specific heat capacity.
But to explain in more depth, heat capacity is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of a substance by 1ºC. Specific heat capacity is the amount of heat required to raise the unit mass of a substance by 1ºC. Heat capacity depends on the mass of a substance, while specific heat capacity would be constant for any amount of mass to raise the temperature by 1ºC.
