tips for figuring out how to ans questions

Science questions not covered in Chem 14A and 14B. Try to limit questions to chemistry (inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, organic chemistry, biophysical chemistry, biochemistry, materials science, environmental chemistry).

tips for figuring out how to ans questions

hi, does anybody have any general tips on how to figure out what a question is asking or knowing where to start? it seems to take too much trial and error for me to answer any questions. thank you guys in advance for any help

I would begin with seeing what information is provided to you and how it applies to topics discussed in the lectures. For example, if you are given the work function you know the answer to the problem must in some way involve the equation, work function = energy of photon - maximum kinetic energy. Applying this to any question and topic is my best advice.
