Final

Does anyone have an idea how important acids/bases will be on the final?

I am not sure if there will be a lot of questions on it, but I would still study it sufficiently because 14A's final did not have a lot on acids and bases so it might be possible that 14B has more.

Do you mean like chemical equilibria and ICE tables or knowing strong/weak acid and bases? It'd always be best to have good practice on both to do well on the final.

i think the test is 8 questions or around that. He'll usually at least include one question for it or it'll be included in like parts of whole questions

You should probs study it just in case

I would study it, just in case, but considering that it was tested heavily on the midterm and we have covered a lot of new material, I would say it won't be too acid/base heavy, probably like 30% material from before the midterm and 70% since the midterm.

Also, considering the changes made to the final, I think it will be more based on new material.

I would probably still study it a little bit, but there might not be a heavy emphasis because, in the email, he did say it was going to be shorter so that might mean he'll focus more on the new material.
