Re: Chemistry Final
Maybe. The format of the final was never specified by know that it will be straightforward and open book.

Re: Chemistry Final
I don't think that it's likely due to the formats of past finals/midterms. Since this situation different, it most likely a mix.

Re: Chemistry Final
Not sure, the format has yet to be announced, but given the circumstances I assume it will either be free response or maybe a bit of both.

Re: Chemistry Final
CCLE usually has options for a variety of different formats, so I wouldn't count on the exam being all multiple choice.
Re: Chemistry Final
Because many of the review sessions had to be canceled, what else are you guys doing to study?

Since its open book, I am organizing my notes and going over concepts that I had a hard time understanding. I am also reviewing my tests and midterm and redoing problems to make sure I remember how to do the steps for certain concepts like the ICE table.

Re: Chemistry Final
I have never done a take-home final so I am wondering is there a time limit to do the final or is there just a deadline to submit by?
Re: Chemistry Final
I don't think there will be the same three hour time limit as was scheduled before because he wrote "The three-hour closed-book exam that was scheduled for Sunday is also cancelled."

In the past, my take home finals have just had a deadline to submit them by and no time limit, but I am sure Professor Lavelle will send out another email with more specifics on the logistics of the final soon!

Re: Chemistry Final
The format isn't known. From his past tests and exams from Chem 14A and Chem 14B, I don't think so. But he did state that it will be more straightforward and simple.

Hi Sarah,
You can access the final by logging into the home page of CCLE! :)
