midterm/final
Will the midterm and final format be the same as 14A format with lockdown browser on zoom?

Re: midterm/final
I believe it will! We should all have respondus downloaded to be more prepared for the exam.

Re: midterm/final
I think it will. If you look at the syllabus on the chemistry 14B website, it says that midterms will be 50 minute long while the final will be 1 hour and 30 minutes long. It also says that both will be proctored, which is sounds exactly like chem 14A!

Yes, I believe it will be the same format as chem 14a in terms of using respondus.

Yes, I think everything will be the same the only difference is that the midterms will be during lecture instead of section.

It looks like it should be the same but since its less points compared to 14A it might be less questions that are just worth a little more.

I think it'll be the same as Dr. Lavelle said this is the same format as 14A, but this course has more calculations and problem solving.

Yeah on the main course website, there's a note at the bottom of the site info page that says all students need to download Respondus which is available at [link given], so it's reasonable to assume that the format and exam proctoring will be the same. I'm not sure if we'll need to download a new version or anything, but I think if you've already installed Respondus last quarter you should be fine!

Re: midterm/final
Sorry if this has already been addressed somewhere, but are the midterms/finals only during lecture times, or can they be taken at alternate times if you are in a different timezone? I took 14A over summer so I'm not sure how it works. Thank you!

Our exams are during the Friday lecture timeslot, but there is usually one extra alternative time for those in different timezones. When you take the exam you will be on zoom with your TA so they can proctor the exam.
