Chemistry Fun Facts

Postby Kaley Qin 1F » Mon Mar 01, 2021 9:55 am

I'd love to hear some fun facts that involve chemistry so if you have any please share! My fun fact is that if we were to ever walk around on Mars without proper protection, we would boil alive because the temperature at which water boils on Mars (−4.96 °C) is lower than the internal temperature of our bodies (37 °C).

Thank you for creating this thread, sounds very interesting!
Here is my chemistry fun fact: Superfluid Helium can climb walls! If you're interested, I am adding a link to the Scientific American article about this topic: https://www.scientificamerican.com/arti ... imb-walls/

most elements are metals which are mostly gray/silver colored. the only ones that aren't silver are gold and copper
