Derivatives and Definite Integrals

Postby Nicole Weinstein 3E » Thu Jan 27, 2022 6:23 pm

Hello!
I never learned calculus and high school and was a little worried when I saw derivatives and definite integrals show up in the lecture. I have a very vague understanding of them and am worried they will show up on the midterm and I won't know what it means or how to use them. If I go over what they mean conceptually, will that be enough or will we be expected to use them in calculations?

You barely need to know the concepts lol dw

I don't think you will need to do actual calculus for the midterm/ calculations.

You do not need to know integrals in depth to be able to do calculations for this class, but if you generally go over the concepts it might be useful in understanding certain derivations.

I was wondering the same thing during lecture, but like the other people said, I think it is more about the concept than the math.
