Rydberg constant

Postby Mary Koutures 2I » Thu Dec 07, 2023 11:32 am

For the Rydberg constant on our equations sheet given to us for exams, can we simply put that value into the Rydberg equation listed below? I get mixed results when I complete the equation compared to the answers we received in Step-Up Sessions.

Yes, the Rydberg constant should be used for the Rydberg equation. I think your answers might be different in step-up sessions because of limiting sig figs for intermediate calculations or UAs only using a few sig figs when plugging in the Rydberg constant.
