Relationship between Electromagnetic Radiation and Enrgy of the photon

How is electromagnetic radiation related to energy of the photon? Are they the same thing?

Electromagnetic radiation is usually tied with the wavelength and frequency of a particle. The ER of a photon is proportional to it's energy (Energy of a photon = h*frequency). The higher the frequency, the greater the energy and therefore, the greater its Electromagnetic radiation.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think electromagnetic radiation has to do with the wave-like properties of light, and photons have to do with the particle-like properties of light. You can still use properties of electromagnetic radiation (like frequency, wavelength) to calculate the energy of photons, so these models of light are interconnected.
