### 1A 15 7th edition help

How would you begin to solve this question?

In the ultraviolet spectrum of atomic hydrogen, a line is observed at 102.6 nm. Determine the values of n for the initial and final energy levels of the electron during the emission of energy that leads to this spectral line.

I know it has to do with the Rydberg equation, but I am having trouble on how to get it started.

Considering that it's from the ultraviolet spectrum, it's evident that the line is from the Lyman series. The lines in this series result from hydrogen's electron going from n≥2 to n=1. Thus, in the problem, n2 in the Rydberg equation would be 1. Hope this helps you get started!
