Bohr's Equation

Postby Sara Richmond 2K » Wed Oct 16, 2019 2:13 pm

Will we be expected to derive Bohr's equation on the midterm like Dr. Lavelle did in class?

You might have to double check, but I believe the tests/midterms/finals are similar to the homework problems which involve calculations, so it is unlikely that you would have to derive an equation on a test. Hope this helps!

According to Dr. Lavelle's learning outcome "Use the Bohr frequency condition to explain the origin of the lines in the spectrum of an element," I don't believe you'll have to derive it.

considering we get a list of equations and constants, i dont think you need to derive any equations. rearranging equations perhaps, but i wouldnt worry about it

I honestly doubt it, since most the time he gives us the front of the test with equations and names. I would look at previous tests and see if it was required to have it memorized

Does anyone know if all the equations are typically given on the midterm like they were on the test?
